Our July Book Recs

Our July Book Recs

⛺️It's July, bookish bunnies and we have some book recs for you!🌲

Lacey recommends Once Upon A Demons Heart

I am so excited to write this rec! K.M. Moronova’s new dark romantasy book is absolutely amazing. It has all my favorite tropes, Enemies to Lovers, Arranged Marriage, Forbidden Love. I waited impatiently for this book to arrive and when it did I was blown away by all of the artwork. There are like 4 or 5 different artworks inside this book and each one of them is stunning. Alira and Kalel might just be my two new favorite characters. I cannot wait for book two to release later this year.

If you are also a fan of dark romantasy, yearning, enemies to lovers, divine intervention and characters that leave you begging to read about them again, then this book may just be the perfect fit.

Kay recommends Tusk Love

I will admit, it did take me a while to finally pick up this book from my shelf and read it, but once I did, I was glad to have finally read it. This book does take place in the world of Critical Role, a famous D&D campaign and now animated TV series, but if you know nothing about Critical Role but you do know a bit of Dungeons & Dragons, you shouldn’t have too much of a hard time following along the story.

Our story follows Guinevere, a wealthy merchant’s daughter who’s naive of the real world but full of sunshine. . .and Oskar, a grumpy half-orc who has seen how cruel and harsh the world is but secretly has a caring, soft heart. Once together after a tragic fire accident and saving Guinevere from ruthless mercenaries, Oskar decides to help the naive woman travel down the Amber Road to the noble man she is betrothed to. Despite their different status and personalities, the road is quite long and danger lurks at every corner, yet there is more tension between them than they realized as long as they can fight off their own feelings to one another. If you’re a fan of grumpy/sunshine, one-bed, spicy moments, “touch her and die”, and D&D, you’ll love Tusk Love.

We hope you all have a happy July, bookish bunnies and hoppy reading! 🐇
