Returns, Exchanges and Cancellations.Â
Once your shipping label has been created, your order cannot be changed or cancelled.Â
Returns/Exchanges: Â
We will accept returns* up to 14 days after the delivery of your item. Once our team accepts your return, customers will be charged a return shipping fee.
*Blind dates with a book, scratch & dent books, and themed boxes are non returnable and non exchangeable.*
Candles, unless broken upon arrival, are non returnable/unchangeable.

Books that do not qualify for return/exchange:Â
- Minor dings/scratches that do not affect the ability to read and/or displayÂ
- Normal shelf wearÂ
- Sticky residue that can be removed
- Slight waving of the pages
All returns and exchanges must have clear photo proof of all damaged or defective areas sent to hello@thefatedchapterbookstore.com and will be subject to qualification by our team for return/exchange.Â
Refunds/exchanges will be processed once we receive the damage or defective product.Â
Books that do qualify for return/exchange:Â
- Rips and dings that affect reading and/or displayingÂ
- Strong odor
Misprints are eligible for replacement, or in store credit. Â

Pre-Orders:Â
All pre-orders will be charged at check out. If you wish to cancel your pre-order, please contact us with your full name and order number and a refund will be issued to the card that was used. We are unable to cancel your pre-order if a shipping label has been created.Â

Blind Dates with a Book:
All blind dates with a book are non-returnable and non-refundable. If our team decides to do a refund, in store credit will be issued instead.
Â
Scratch & Dent Books:
All scratch and dent books are a final sale and are not eligible for refunds, returns, or replacements. If our team decides to do a refund, in store credit will be issued instead. These books have minimal marks in the books that do not hinder reading such as:
- Small tears
- Small scratches
- Small dents
- Few bent pages
When will I receive my refund?Â
Your refund may arrive anywhere between 5 to 7 business days or sooner depending on your bank's policies.
Â
Lost or stolen packages:Â
We understand the heartache of ordering something only for it to get lost along the way or stolen. After investigating tracking, we will make a decision on whether or not we will replace your item.
If your tracking shows your package as "delivered", please double check your front porch or mailbox, as well as asking your neighbors if the package was mistakenly delivered at their residence. If your tracking shows as "delivered" and there is no evidence of your package, you may contact us after 3 days of the occurrence. Sometimes packages can get scanned too early before they are actually delivered. Contact us with your full name, order number, and shipping address. After investigating tracking, we will make a decision on whether or not we will replace your item.
We will only replace items twice. If it happens more than that, unfortunately we will be unable to send anymore replacements or a refund, and you may be blocked from purchasing through us again.Â
Items missing from packages:Â
Please contact us at hello@thefatedchapterbookstore.com with a picture of your package with the missing item. We will send a replacement out ASAP. We will only send a replacement out twice. After that, we will be unable to send a replacement item or give a refund.Â
