Lacey recommends Outlander
We recently got a beautiful deluxe edition of Outlander and I just had to grab one for myself. With plaid sprayed edges, I can have a shelf trophy of one of my favorite series. Also, this edition is pretty floppy which I love since the book is so thick! If you haven’t read the books, but love the show, you definitely need to read this series and see all the stuff you are missing. I highly recommend.
Kay recommends Baldur’s Gate 3: Astarion
Back in 2024, I was so excited to play Baldur’s Gate 3 for the first time after hearing so many things about it. Not to be too dramatic. . .but it changed my life. The characters in the game and the story was enough to make you cry. MULTIPLE times! I have never played a RPG like it. One of the many characters you get to meet had caught my eye. Red eyes, sharp fangs, white hair, and by the nine hells was he sassy! To say, I instantly fell in love. Astarion was a character I just couldn’t get enough of and his story captivated me. So when I heard that he was going to have a book coming out, I was overjoyed!
Once release day came, that book was in my hands and my headphones on (because how could I not also listen to the audiobook when it’s narrated by the same man who voiced Astarion). I couldn’t help to be both crying and laughing while reading Baldur’s Gate 3: Astarion, and every page turn had me so hooked I devoured it in just two days! If you are a fan of Baldur’s Gate 3 and want to know more about our dear vampire spawn, this book is a must! I am so excited to see what character they’ll do next (I know this is a very hopeful guess, but I would sob if our bratty devil, Raphael got a book—but I know those chances are very slim. Then again, I would also be so so excited for a Shadowheart story).
Okay, sorry for such a long book rec, but as you can tell that this book was so good and I highly recommend giving it a try at least.
